October 25, 2019 - Zoul Screening at the FearNYC Horror Film Festival
I had a great time screening Zoul at the Film Noir Theater in Brooklyn as a part of FearNYC, the biggest horror festival in the city. It played as the finale in a midnight screening of other horror shorts made by some incredible filmmakers. Thanks John Capo for an amazing festival! |
October 15, 2019 - Zoul at the Vortex Film Festival
Zoul is officially accepted into its 15th film festival! The Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror Film Festival, the genre sidebar of the Oscar-qualifying Flicker's Rhode Island International Film Festival, starts this Saturday. It pains me to say that unfortunately I won't be able to make it, but if anyone is in the Rhode Island area, be sure to check it out! In addition to amazing genre films, the festival will have a H.P. Lovecraft walking tour. |
October 7, 2019 - Preview Screening of AMC's Hip Hop: The Songs That Shook America at the Apollo Theater, feat. The Roots and DMC
Last night I visited the legendary Apollo Theater for a preview screening of episode 1 of a 6-part documentary series about hip hop. It's always awesome to see a show that you worked on finally premiere, especially in a theater, and especially if that theater is the Apollo. The following performance by The Roots and surprise guest DMC was an added bonus. They're incredible live, and I assume they came straight from The Tonight Show taping.

October 7, 2019 - ANNY Animation Nights New York Best of Fest
I had a blast moderating industry roundtables at ANNY's Best of Fest this weekend. Animation Nights New York (ANNY) is a monthly screening series of animated short films from all over the world. Each year, they have a Best of Fest, consisting of screenings of their top films, as well as panels, networking opportunities and industry roundtables. It was a weekend full of networking, and I met so many amazing people from the world of animation and VR. I had never moderated anything like this before, and I, for one, think it went extremely well. We spoke on everything from animation pipelines, to animation in documentary, to VR, to financing. Participants included Oscar nominees, Emmy winners, CEOs, executive producers, computer coders, animators, filmmakers, and puppeteers. |
September 10, 2019 - Zoul at YoFiFest, the Yonkers Film Festival
Festival #14! So excited to announce that Zoul has been accepted into its 14th film festival YoFiFest aka the Yonkers Film Festival! My previous film Concurrence was a selection in 2017, and I can't wait to go back. YoFiFest was voted one of the Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals on FilmFreeway, and it will take place in early November. Specific screening dates, times, and locations to come! |
August 9, 2019 - Kids on Patrol Children's Book
Got some cool news today -- a children's book that I illustrated Kids on Patrol was finally published and printed! Written by John Cantrell and published by Mascot Books Publishing, it tells the story of a boy with a bully problem at school and how standing up for yourself and others can really make a difference. Kids on Patrol is available at your local bookstore, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, or Amazon! (And act fast on Amazon. It looks like it's almost sold-out already!) |
August 5, 2019 - Zoul at the Venus Italian International Film Festival aka Fear and Zoul-ing in Las Vegas
Zoul is officially an award-winning film! We're back from the Venus Italian International Film Festival in Las Vegas, a part of Action on Film Megafest, where Zoul screened and won the award for best horror tv series! The award ceremony took place at the legendary Italian American Social Club in Vegas and the trophy is a beautiful statue inspired by the Birth of Venus. More pics to come from the festival and the rest of the trip! |
